1. Nopalera Moisturizing Botanical Bar: This lotion bar not only smells like a creamsicle, but is made with 100% natural ingredients including prickly pear oil and cocoa butter—AND comes in the prettiest aluminum tin that can be recycled or reused to store things like trinkets, spices, or candy.

I read this quote by the zero-waste Chef Anne-Marie Bonneau that says, “We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.” Every little bit makes a huge impact, even starting with a low-waste approach. What’s your favorite way to be a more thoughtful consumer?

I’ll check out some of these brands, thanks! A brand I love is ethique, they have so many options for shampoo and conditioner bars as well as deodorant, shave bars and many other products. They offer trial sizes of pretty much everything, so it’s really easy to try things without investing too much money, and they are great for travel too. I was able to easily find shampoo and conditioner bars for my naturally curly hair that I love, as well as replacements for deodorant, shaving and face wash all zero waste.
I LOVE the quote you included at the end Amanda—so true and empowering!
Thanks, Emma. I loved that quote too. It really does make you feel more empowered. 🙂
Excited to try some of these! I would caution those wanting to try the Myro deodorant…I wanted to love it but it’s a gloppy mess.
Hi Jennifer, sorry to hear that. Deodrant shopping is so personal. I liked the Myro one because it’s aloe-based. Another deodorant that I enjoy is the refillable powder deodorant by Madame Lemy . Human Kind has also been on my radar. What deodorant have you been enjoying lately? I am always looking for new ones to try. 🙂
