What a difference!! We had tried to make the bathroom feel a little nicer when we moved by adding a light color of paint and more modern sconces, but the dark tile and countertop really sucked up whatever light the small high window let in (and the shower walls blocked that light from the right side of the vanity completely). Now it feels super open and SO much brighter—it’s pretty drastic in person and I’m still getting used to how different it is!

And speaking of mid-century elements, I chose these two chrome globe lights to match all the other chrome options and continue that vintage feel that we have through the rest of our ’60s ranch house as well—they fit in perfectly!

I loved when I added two shelves above the toilet last year for storage, so I kept that configuration as well. Besides the hidden medicine cabinet, it’s another great spot to keep out some things you use often and you can add some greenery to the space on the shelves as well.

Can you tell us what paint color you used (manufacturer and number)?
I am interested in toilet info too! 🙂
Could you share the make and model of the toilet?
How do you feel about the pivot door? We have been debating about whether we want to go with a pivot or sliding door for our bathroom remodel. I had heard that pivot doors tend to leave a trail of water on the floor after it’s been opened post-shower. Any thoughts on this?
You have the exact same configuration of bathroom as us!
We need to Reno ours and the first thing I said to my husband was make the shower all glass to make the room feel bigger. I think my bathroom might be slightly narrower. What are the dimensions of your bathroom?
Looks lovely.
I can’t remember exactly but it’s somewhere around 6×8′ maybe? Hope you get a chance to do yours!

All the details are perfect! I love how everything turned out!

Seriously, such a big and beautiful transformation!! I love how much more light is let in through the update of the kitchen cabinets and especially ripping out that dark wall by the shower! I updated the bathroom cabinets in my guest bathroom and was so pleased with how updating the dark countertops and painting the cabinets to a bright white color did so much to brighten and modernize the room!
Beautiful! I second the question about the wall color! That looks like the perfect pale pink.
What a gorgeous transformation!! I love everything about it, especially the wall color! What is it?
Thank you!!! It’s ‘Morning Blush’ by ECOS paint.
Such an incredible transformation (it baffles me how some people go dark when a room is already small, especially in an enclosed shower like that). You definitely made this room your own and It’s clear this must bring you so much joy! I think that’s the best way to improve a room, not just for the “re-sale” value in the future but for the live in factor.
Yes I agree! I love a light-colored open room, especially when it’s small!

Fantastic transformation and a huuge work is here done. I’m postponing my bathroom renovation, as we just have 1.5, we need to be on a vacay while. So, collecting inspiration still. Great choices, Laura.
Thank you!

Wow, an amazing transformation! Thanks for sharing! ❤️✨

Oh man, those faucets are the worst to clean! There is such a small space between the handles and the water spout, it drives me mental every time I remember it.
No need to fret, the rest of the bathroom is spectacular! I love a light and airy bathroom. <3
I don’t find them hard to clean so far! For spaces like that I have little toddler toothbrushes on hand or just threading a cleaning cloth through the space between should do the trick 🙂

Will you share the paint color?
I can totally relate to that “I need to have my bathroom redone ASAP”, but we have to do all of these other things first. Our house was built in 1960, and the master bathroom has teal carpet, striped wallpaper, and a cruise ship-sized shower. Thank you for sharing your beautiful renovation! I am feeling so inspired to hopefully get mine underway soon!
Hope you get it done soon! It is so nice to use daily 🙂
